We only request the permissions strictly necessary for the app to function. We do not require you to create an account, nor do we collect your name, email, phone number, or personal contacts.

• Precise Location Data (GPS): We request access to your device's GPS solely to provide the Qibla and Compass functionality. This data is processed ephemerally (locally on your device in real-time). It is never stored on our servers, transmitted to the developer, or sold to third parties. We comply with Android's minimum scope guidelines, meaning location is only accessed while you are actively using these features.
• Local File Access: If you use the bulk upload feature, the app reads the .txt or .csv files you select from your device. This data is strictly used to update your local dictionary database. The files and their contents are never uploaded to the cloud or transmitted off-device.
• Local Notifications & Exact Alarms: We request notification and exact alarm permissions (POST_NOTIFICATIONS, SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM) to deliver the scheduled "Word of the Day" and to display the active status badge. These functions operate entirely locally on your device's internal clock. We do not track, log, or transmit your interaction with these notifications to any external servers.
• Device Identifiers: We use secure third-party services that collect Device IDs and advertising identifiers to facilitate ad delivery and manage premium subscriptions.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

To provide monetization and subscription services, we integrate with industry-standard third-party platforms. These providers operate under their own strict Privacy Policies:

• Google AdMob: We display banner, interstitial, and app open advertisements to keep the base service free. AdMob may collect and use service data, such as your device's advertising ID and network information, to show relevant ads. We do not use remarketing services to target you after you have left the app.
• RevenueCat & Google Play Billing: We offer an optional "Ad-Free Pro" upgrade within the app. All payment processing is securely handled by Google Play Billing, and subscription statuses are verified via RevenueCat. We do not process, collect, or store your financial details, billing address, or credit card information on our developer servers.

4. Data Retention and Deletion Policy

In compliance with modern app store Data Safety regulations:

• No Account Data: Because Military Abbreviation operates entirely without user accounts, we do not hold any personal profile data on any remote servers.
• Local Data Deletion: Any custom abbreviations, categories, or tactical symbols you create are stored securely and locally on your device. You can permanently delete this data at any time by clearing the app's cache in your Android settings, or by simply uninstalling the app.
• No Deletion Request Required: Because we do not collect or transmit personal user data to external developer servers, no formal data deletion request to the developer is necessary.

5. Analytics and Tracking

We maintain a lean and private user experience. We do not use generalized usage tracking, behavioral monitoring, or analytics tools (such as Google Analytics). Our third-party partners (RevenueCat and AdMob) only collect the minimum telemetry data required to verify your subscription status and serve advertisements.

6. Your Privacy Rights & Consent

Depending on your region (such as the EEA or the UK), you have specific rights regarding your personal data and ad tracking.

• Consent Management: If applicable in your region, you will be presented with a Consent Management Platform (CMP) dialog upon launching the app, allowing you to grant or deny permission for personalized ad tracking.
• Opt-Out of Personalized Ads: You can opt-out of personalized advertising at any time by navigating to your device's system settings (e.g., Google Settings > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization).

7. Children’s Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately so we can take steps to ensure it is purged from any associated third-party services.

8. Security of Data

The security of your operational data is critical to us. Because we do not transmit your location, dictionary entries, or drawings to external developer servers, the risk of external data breaches is mitigated natively by the application's architecture. However, please remember that no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your device data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in legal requirements or new app features. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
